Soka Education Student Research Project

Soka Education Student Research Project, or more casually known as, SESRP, is a student-initiated and student-run organization on our campus, Soka University of America. Every year, 10-12 students join the SESRP team, hosting events such as Lion’s Circle, study sessions, and our annual Soka Education Conference. This 2019-2020 academic year we have a mixture of students from the second-year class (c/o 2022), fourth-year class (c/o 2020), as well as graduate student advisors (c/o 2020). Working together throughout the year, we hope to further delve into research, learning more about Soka Education, how we define it, and how each of us can implement this value-creating, humanistic pedagogy into our lives.

Our annual Soka Education Conference will be held on Saturday, February 15th and Sunday, February 16th on our Aliso Viejo campus. The conference is an open event and free to the public. Students, educators, community members alike are all more than welcomed to attend! You can find more information under the “16TH SOKA EDUCATION CONFERENCE” menu tab above.
