INTS faculty encourage students to attend graduate school workshops or to contact the Graduate Admissions Advisor, Professor Diya Mazumder (dmazumder@soka.edu), for more information.  Students’ Academic Advisors can also be a good resource for information on pathways and programs.  You can find some information about Graduate School Applications and Fellowships on the student portal.

INTS Graduate School Partnerships

Soka University has partnerships with some leading southern California graduate programs:

Claremont Graduate University (CGU): The SUA/CGU partnership provides our students with access to accelerated graduate programs in several areas, including International Studies.  This includes waiving admission fees and assessments such as the GRE, as well as recognizing SUA course credits to allow for a one-year MA. Additionally, SUA offers scholarship opportunities for students taking part in the program.  See this page for more details, or check out the CGU Admissions page.

The Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego: SUA’s second-ever fast-track MA program, this connects graduating INTS students from SUA to further develop their interest in peace studies. See here for more details, or check out the Kroc Institute Homepage.

Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS): At the end of 2022, SUA announced a partnership with MIIS that provides SUA alumni with accelerated entry and access to various scholarships (including a guaranteed 25% tuition scholarship and MIIS matching SUA scholarships). More details are available here or from the MIIS-SUA flyer.

Students interested in any of the Graduate School Partnerships are encouraged to send inquiries to Dr. Lisa MacLeod.
