Welcome to the new World Summit of Educators website, a site for dialogue, intercommunication, and sharing around the goals, ideals, and practices of education for global citizenship (EGC). For starters, please see the Declaration that issued from the Summit that took place at Soka University of America, June 12th-13th. You can also read here about the mission, historical background, and philosophy of the Summit.

We’ve also created blogging opportunities around the action steps proposed in the Declaration. Based on your many ideas and suggestions, the hope is to form a larger dialogical community around the pressing needs expressed in the action plan and with that to make a difference in the education, growth, and development of young and old alike, for the sake of peace.

Those participants in the Summit who feel comfortable sharing their contact information will have an opportunity to do so at WSE 2016- Participant

Under Action Plans and Efforts, please feel free, whether a Summit participant or not, to submit past or upcoming events and announcements bearing on the cause of Education for Global Citizenship as articulated in the Declaration.
